Bertram Rieger

Florian grew up in Basel, Switzerland where he also attended Medical School graduating in 2010.He trained in orthopedic surgery and trauma at Bruderholz and Liestal Hospitals in the Basel region. He got board certified in 2017 and then moved to Perth for fellowship training.

Florian completed the Fiona Stanley Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship with Prof. Piers Yates and the Lower Limb and Sports Medicine Fellowship at POSMC with Mr. P. Annear, Prof. M. Kuster and Mr. J. Buelow. He then became a Sports Surgery Fellow for Mr. Pete D’Alessandro at ORFWA from August 2018 till January 2019.

Upon completion of his last fellowship he returned to his hometown to take up a consultant position at the Cantonal Hospital Baselland where he specializes in arthroplasty and sport surgery of the hip and knee as well as in general orthopaedic traumatology.
